Mangaluru CCB police arrests MDMA peddler; assets worth Rs 70,000 seized

Mangaluru, Nov 10: The CCB Police on Friday raided a place on the basis of information received that a person was illegally selling banned drug MDMA to college students and in public at Bhatragudde, Thokkot inner town under the Ullal police station limits.

They seized from the accused 12 grams of the banned drug, a digital weighing  scale, and a mobile phone handset.

Details of the assets acquired from the accused include 12 grams of MDMA drug-(70,000), 3 VIVO company mobile phone handsets (Rs 10,000/phone) and a digital weighing scale. The total value of seized assets is put at Rs 70,000.



The accused are Mohammad Irshad (28), son of Sikandar Putthu Bava, residing in Alekala, Thokkot, Permannur village, Ullala Taluk.

The search operation was conducted under the guidance of Anupam Aggarwal , Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City, DCP (Law and Order) Siddhartha Goyal, and DCP Crime and Traffic Dinesh Kumar under the direction of Mangaluru CCB Unit ACP P A Hegde. Officers and staff of CCB unit participated in the operation.
