Udupi police arrest accused absconding for 39 yrs in assault case from Mumbai

Udupi, Nov 10: The Udupi district police have arrested an accused involved in an assault case who was absconding for 39 years.

The arrested accused has been identified as Prakash (62).

Prakash was arrested from Sakinaka of Andheri East Mumbai on Thursday, November 9. He was living there in hiding in his original identity but was using a fake name "Ganesh" for identification.



Prakash was accused in an assault case registered under Kundapura police station.

The operation to nab the accused was conducted by Nandakumar U B, police inspector, Kundapura station, Vinaya M Korlahalli, law and order, PSI Kundapura police station and station staff Sridhar, Rama, Santhosh and Gangolli police station crime staff Chandrasekhar.
