Kundapur: Lokayukta arrest Kavradi panchayat while taking bribe

Kundapur, Nov 10: In a recent development, the Lokayukta Police apprehended Gopal Devadiga, the secretary of Kavradi Panchayat in the taluk, on charges of soliciting bribes in exchange for releasing an installment for the Basava housing project.

Panchayat secretary Gopal Devadiga allegedly demanded Rs 15,000 from Javed Karwadi to facilitate the release of the installment related to the Basava housing project. Upon facing this demand, the aggrieved beneficiary promptly filed a complaint with the Lokayukta. Subsequently, a strategic operation was executed, leading to the arrest of the accused while accepting the specified amount.

The successful operation was conducted under the supervision of Lokayukta SP Simon and the leadership of DySP K C Prakash. The team involved in the operation included police inspectors Manjunath, Rafiq, and personnel Nagesh Udupa, Nagaraj, Raghavendra, Mallika, Rohit, Prasanna Devadiga, Abdul Jalal, Ravindra Ganiga, Ramesh, Suraj, Sudhir, and Satish Acharya.

    Horrible .This infection or disease is in blood of some people.:Nothing works without .Some do because they have no way .Others simply do to raise the buildings and assets.
