Mangaluru, Nov 11: Under the twinkling lights of Diwali, the Young Indians Mangalore chapter brought together two schools in a remarkable celebration of unity and joy. SDM School students, having crafted beautiful, hand-painted Diyas at home, shared their festive spirit with their peers at BEM School, Car Street here.
This heartwarming event saw students from SDM School not only gifting these tokens of light but also treating the B.E.M School students to a vibrant dance performance, infusing the air with the true essence of Diwali - a celebration of light, love, and community.
Eshwar Shetty, the Chair of Rural Initiatives, addressed the gathering, enlightening them about the work and initiatives of Young Indians. His words of encouragement and best wishes on the occasion of Diwali added a touch of warmth to the event.
The gathering was graced by the presence of esteemed members of Young Indians Mangalore chapter, including Sameeksha Shetty, the Chair, Athmika Amin, the co-chair, and executive members Shohan J Shetty, Madhukar Kudwa, and Aajeeth. The Principal of BEM School, Yashwant Mada, and the management staff of SDM were also present, along with many enthusiastic students.
