Mangaluru, Nov 13: On the occasion of Children’s Day, the St Mary’s English Higher Primary School organized an event to celebrate the same on November 11.

The programme commenced by lighting the Diya and praying God’s blessings on all the children. The teachers then entertained the children by a welcome dance and a musical skit with humorous performance. The winners of the various competitions held on this occasion were felicitated, followed by a penguin dance performance. The students were then surprised with a scintillating dance performance by the teachers which created an electrifying atmosphere among the crowd. The energetic dance performance entertained and enthralled the students on their special day.

A creative surprise lucky game was conducted by headmistress Sr Maisie AC and a small token of incentive was given for the winners. A comedy act was performed by the teachers and the programme ended with the wishing song. It was a fun-filled day for the children. There was a dancing atmosphere all over.

The student pupil leader Sherlyn Mascarenhas and the assistant student pupil leader Hajira Musba delivered the vote of thanks expressing their gratitude to the management and staff for encouraging the students and supporting them to organise such a fun-filled programme with music, dance and skit to mark the occasion. They expressed their gratitude for a memorable day. To cherish the day the students were given sweets.
