Children's day and deepavali celebrated at Christ School Manipal

Manipal, Nov 13: Christ School, Manipal organized a festive program on the school premises on the holy occasion of Diwali and Children's Day on November 11.

The school was decorated with colourful kandiller prepared by the students. The correspondent Fr Romeo Lewis was the chief guest of the programme.

He explained the meaning of Diwali and enunciated its importance to all and also wished the students all happiness and good health on the occasion of children's day. To mark the significance of Diwali, liturgical dances were performed by the students.

Teachers also regaled the little ones with a variety of delightful performances. The principal Eliza Vaz, academic coordinator Cyrilla Lobo, the staff and the students witnessed the programme.

The celebration ended with the National Anthem with vocal accompaniment by the students.
