Gulf Countries to Celebrate First Day of Eid on August 30

Dubai, Aug 30 : UAE Ministry of Justice has confirmed that, first of Eid Al Fitr on August 30, Tuesday.

Addressing a Press conference in Abu Dhabi, Minister of Justice Dr Hadef Jouan Al Dhahiri said that the observation of the evening sky did establish the sighting of crescent moon, marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal.

There are also confirmations that, Saudi Arabia and Qatar will also be joining the UAE in celebrating Eid on Tuesday.

Other countries celebrating the first day of Eid on Tuesday include Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon.

India likely to celebrate first day of Eid is on August 31.
