Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organizes ‘LCS Regale 2023’

Mangaluru, Nov 15: LCS Regale 2023 was celebrated in a grand manner at the school ground in Lourdes Central School on November 11.

The event was chaired by the head boy Arjun Kumar and presided over by the head girl K P Prajna. The dignitaries to grace the occasion were the principal, Fr Robert D’Souza, Fr Lestor Lobo SJ, Fr Arul Joseph, vice principals Belita Mascarenhas and Anita Thomas.

A selected galaxy of 25 delegates who have excelled in a variety of fields beautified the dais along with dignitaries.Cynthia Avitha Pinto, secretary, Bejai Parish Pastoral Council, marked her presence at the event. The programme began with a prayer service followed by a prayer song by the Lourdites to invoke God’s blessings.

The vice principal Belita Mascarenhas welcomed the gathering. The teachers rendered a wishing song melodiously to the students on the occasion of children’s day celebration.

The chief guest, the head boy addressed the audience and acknowledged the principal, the school management and the teachers in making every individual learn from each other. He also appreciated the school for bringing the students to greater heights for the future. Through experience, students make their parents and the school proud.

A total of 25 student representatives were felicitated to mark 25 glorious years.

The principal, Fr Robert D’Souza in his inaugural address poured out his love and bestowed blessings on all the Lourdites and their families. He wished the students and emphasized on the importance of family time. He invited everyone to enjoy the day and take away fond memories. 

The head girl in her presidential address said, “Every child is born with talents. Face the challenge in one’s life like a water flow. Life is like a journey and sets an example as a good human in our society."

On the occasion of children’s day celebration, a floral tribute was paid to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Francisca D’Souza read out the significance of the day.

The dignitaries inaugurated the event by releasing the balloons and cutting the ribbon. Games stalls were inaugurated and were a treat to the children who tried their luck and skills at various novelty games. A complimentary coupon was given for a family to play any one game.

The food stalls kept the students in complete energy till the end of the event. A special attraction was the chic photo booth to capture silver memories with friends and families.

To add to the grandeur of the event ‘Housie Housie’ game was conducted with attractive prizes. LCS Regale hosted a stage for the students, parents and teachers to showcase their talents in music and dance.

The audience was thoroughly entertained with the series of cultural programmes. The icing on the cake was the final Baila dance by the students. LCS Silver Fiesta 2023 was truly synonyms for the fun, frolic and entertainment for everyone. It was indeed a grand success and a memorable one.
