New Delhi, Aug 30: Delhi police are said to have completed the investigation into the controversial CD of noted lawyer and prominent member of Team Anna, who was caught in an alleged conversation with Samajwadi party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh.
The CD, reportedly ruled out as fake earlier, has now found been found as genuine by the Delhi police.
In the CD, Bhushan is allegedly telling Mulayam Singh and Amar Singh that his lawyer-son Prashant can "manage a judge".
Shanti Bhushan, who is also a member of the joint committee appointed to draft the Lokpal Bill, has reacted angrily to the latest development and said that it appears to be a criminal conspiracy by some police officials, forensic agency officials, some in government and others.
In mid-April a case under section 469 of Indian Penal Code (forgery for the purpose of harming reputation) was registered by Bhushan claiming the CD contents were doctored and far from truth.
But Amar Singh when questioned in April, had told the police that the voice in the tapes were his and there was "no tampering" of the audio tapes.
The CD was circulated to media houses in April after a fast by Anna Hazare for a strong Lokpal.
The first forensic examination conducted by Delhi Police at CFSL, New Delhi refuted Bhushan's claims that it was doctored triggering demands for his resignation from the joint committee.
