Mangaluru, Nov 16: On the matter of appointing B Y Vijayendra as the state BJP president, seer of Pejawar Math, Vishwa Prasanna Theertha Swamiji said, “If government has to function efficiently, a strong opposition party is required. Opposition in Karnataka Assembly was weak as it did not have a leader. Now an able leader is nominated. Let his appointment be complimentary to the development of the state.”
On the banishment of Hindu workers, Swamiji said, “Banishment of Hindu activists is not acceptable. This should not happen. Government is for all. All are equal in front of the government. It is not right to target one group of people.”
'Ram bhakti, desh bhakti' no different
On nearing completion of Rama Mandir, Swamiji said, “Dream of Indians is getting realised. Mandir is being built after a long fight. As the Makara Sankrati gets over Lord Rama will be installed. On January 22, Lord Rama Prana Prathiste will be done at Abhijit Muhurtham. PM Modi will inaugurate the Mandir. All will not be allowed on that day. So all have to see this ceremony on the huge screen at Rama Mandirs of their villages. Pooja, Bhajans and distribution of Prasada should be held in the mandir. Once the Prana Pratiste is done, Mandala Utsav will be held. Various poojas including daily abhishek will be done. All can visit at that time to the temple. There will not be any service list in Rama Mandir. Devotion towards Lord Rama and to the country are not different. Those who want to serve Lord Rama can serve the country. Utsav will be held from January 23 to March 10.”
