Kundapur: Annual sports meet of Excellent PU College held

Kundapur, Nov 18: Excellent PU College and Little Star English Medium School Sunnari Kundapur's joint annual sports event was inaugurated on November 17 at Excellent Stadium by Kundapur police station police sub-inspector Prasad K.

Inaugurating the annual sports event, Prasad K said, “Sports instils courage in students. Such sports events help to take the right decisions in life and to accept victories and losses equally.”

Excellent, PU College and Little Star English Medium Schools, more than 1400 students came out in an impressive procession and received the flag salute from the chief guests. National level athlete Manasa of Excellent College carried the sports torch while state and district level achievers accompanied him.

Chairman of MM Hegde Educational Charitable Trust, M Mahesh Hegde, presided over the programme and said, "It will be great to see the growth of the educational institution that I have created in rural areas. This sports event, which is organized like a mini Olympics, should be an example for all.”

Chairman of Sujnana Educational Trust, Dr Ramesh Shetty, Augustin K A, principal of Little Star English Medium School were present. Treasurer Bharat Shetty welcomed. Vijay Kumar Shetty, PRO of Amrita Bharti Educational Trust, conducted the programme. Sathish, director of physical education of the Institute, offered vote of thanks.
