Mangaluru: Founder’s Day celebrated, Yenepoya Teacher Award 2023 conferred

Mangaluru, Nov 18: The Yenepoya School & PU College honoured the founder of Yenepoya Group of Companies, the late Al-Haj Moideen Kunhi on the momentous occasion of Founder’s Day at Yendurance Zone, Derelakatte.

The programme began with invoking the Almighty. Dr B H Sripathi Rao, pro vice chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed to be University, was the esteemed chief guest. Bearing a magnificent charisma, he delivered the YMK Memorial Lecture that left the audience asking for more. Chairman and trustee of Yenepoya Group, Abdulla Javed, pro chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed to be University, Farhad Yenepoya, director of academics and operations of TYS & YPUC, Mishria Javed and Uzwal Menezes, principal of TYS & YPUC marked their remarkable presence.

The day also acknowledged the contribution of the academic soldiers who encourage all to be enduring learners and leaders. A panel of experts scrutinized the profiles of the applicants and after a comprehensive screening, the best and the most deserving candidate was awarded with this valued honour. The scrutiny board included Dr Arun Bhagwath, Prof K K Achar, Dr Sumanth Shetty Bellipady and Purushottam. Radhakrishna T and Chaithraprabha Shreesham were awarded the prestigious Yenepoya Teacher Award 2023 for their outstanding contribution to the field of education in the high school and primary school categories respectively. The event culminated with the vote of thanks and the recitation of the national anthem.
