Beltangady: Sacred Heart College organizes mega blood donation camp

Beltangady, Nov 18: The collaborative blood donation camp was organized by the Youth Red Cross (YRC) in conjunction with NCC, NSS, Rovers and Rangers, physical education department and in association with Gram Panchayat Madanthyar, JCI Madanthyar, and Wenlock Hospital Blood Bank at Sacred Heart College Madanthyar on November 18.

The event aimed to address the critical need for blood donations and promote community engagement in life-saving efforts. Janardhana Rao D welcomed everyone to this successful mega blood donation event.

The president of this programme, Prof Alex Ivan Sequira, principal of the college was present on the dais, as was the primary guest's, Roopa A S president, Gram Panchayat Madanthyar, Dr Prakash S P D O Gram Panchayat Madanthyar, and Ashok Gundyalike president JCI Madanthyar. They shared their thoughts on the blood donation and how effectively this blood bank saves lives through blood donation. 

A total of 93 donors participated in the camp, representing a diverse group from Sacred Heart College. The substantial turnout demonstrated the collective commitment to the cause of contributing to the blood supply.

The event received support from the Gram Panchayat Madanthyar and JCI Madanthyar, showcasing the effectiveness of community partnerships in contributing to the success of the blood donation camp.

Heartfelt thanks were extended to principal Alex Ivan Sequira, chief guests Roopa A S, Dr Prakash, Ashok Gundyalike, participating organizations, donors, volunteers and collaborators for their valuable contributions, which played a pivotal role in the success of the blood donation camp by Preethi D'Souza. Their dedication underscores the strength of collective endeavours in serving the community.
