Because, in India it is more politics, less cricket. Indian politics has destroyed any successful sports for their own selfish ends.

She has NO political influence, nor possibly carry buckets, hence must have gone abroad for a career based on merit and got it, managing Australian cricket team.

Yes, there is another Mangalore in Victoria, Australia. But Valentine and Ivy are very much from Mangalore, India. They lived for many years in namma Kudla, Mangalore, before they migrated to Doha, Qatar and later relocated to Sakleshpur. We in Mangalore, Karnataka are very proud of Valentine and Ivy snd their offspring.

Urmila came to limelight as a result of Australia's victory. Her name wouldn't have surfaced if Australia had lost world cup.

@Urmila; feel extremely happy and proud of your achievement mostly coz you are of Indian descent! I think working with the Aussies would have given you a different and thorough experience of how professionally they view and manage things without the least of extraneous involvement once the responsibility is delegated to a responsible person! Wishing you and the Aussie women's cricket team many more thumping victories; all the best👍!
