Mangaluru, Nov 21: A youth killed himself by hanging in a car garage near Mudipu.

The deceased is identified as Kishore (25), who worked as a mechanic in a car showroom at Kankanady. He hanged himself to the iron rod inside the car garage owned by Jaya at Mudipu.

Kishore went to work on November 20 and did not return home till late. His family members searched for him in nearby places and at houses of relatives, but Kishore could not be traced. At last, they searched near the garage where the deceased used to sit after work and his bike was parked there. They saw Kishore hanging from the iron rod in the garage.

Supervisor of the showroom where Kishore worked had died by suicide just six months ago. He was a very close friend of Kishore. Police suspect that the loss of his close friend must have forced Kishore to take the extreme step.

Konaje police are investigating further.
