Bantwal: Expressing suspicions on sister’s death, brother files complaint

Bantwal, Nov 23: A woman died here due to illness. Her brother Padmanabha has filed a complaint with city police station here expressing suspicions about her death.

The deceased is identified as Baby, wife of Yogish, a resident of Rajupalke. Baby was married to mason Yogish, a resident of Modankap, four years ago. The couple were quarrelling frequently. After the intervention of family members they used to get pacified. However, on Tuesday, Baby told her elder sister over phone that the harassment of her husband’s family is increasing and she wants to go to her mother’s house.

On Wednesday, Yogish, husband of Baby called her elder sister and said that Baby was taken to hospital due to acute asthma and died in the hospital.

When the family members reached hospital, the doctor confirmed that Baby was dead when she was brought to the hospital. Her brother Padmanabha has filed a complaint with police suspecting foul play by the in-laws of his sister Baby.

The post-mortem of the deceased was held at Deralakatte hospital. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are probing further.
