Udupi: Bail denied to Brahmavar Sugar Factory president in corruption case

Udupi, Nov 23: The Udupi district court has rejected the bail plea of Baikady Suprasad Shetty, the president of Brahmavar sugar factory, and other directors. The case pertains to alleged corruption involving crores in the sale of scrap materials from the sugar factory.

The charges were filed against Shetty and other directors by the Udupi Raitha Sangha, leading to an investigation by the Brahmavar police station.

Public prosecutor Jayaram Shetty confirmed that the Udupi court, on Thursday, November 23, dismissed the bail application submitted by the accused in connection to the corruption case.
