Kundapura, Nov 23: Two children from Fiji who were separated from their mother due to a family dispute and subsequently lived in India for eight years have returned to their mother and their motherland with the help of Jeevan Mitra Seva Trust of Kota.

A citizen of Fiji, Christina had married a young man of Karkala, Udupi, who was working in Fiji and had a son and a daughter. The two got divorced many years back due to some family issues.

After the divorce, eight years ago, the father brought his children Tressy and Jebbon to Karkala from Fiji and left them at a relative's house to fend for themselves.

Recently, the two children contacted their mother through social media and expressed their desire to return to Fiji. But since the visa had expired many years back, the legal process for their return was difficult. Christina asked Rama Mogaveera, a native of Kota, who lived in Fiji, to cooperate in bringing her children back.
