Mangaluru: Complaint filed against BJP corporator over caste abuse

Mangaluru, Nov 24: A case is filed in Kankanady police station against a BJP corporator of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) accusing him of abusing a woman because of her caste.

Amala Jyoti is the woman belonging to scheduled caste, who undertakes contract work for the MCC, who has filed a complaint against a BJP corporator.

Amala Jyoti had received a tender for Saripalla Kannagudde work. When she went to the area to get the work done on November 23, it is alleged, the local BJP corporator threatened her.

Kankanady police are investigating further.
