Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Nov 24: Many people are fooling public by bringing variety in goods that are used every day by public. But now the tricksters have entered the writing pencils used by young children.

Parents of children studying in Gadiyara primary school of Kedila in the taluk have filed complaint in Vittal police station against people selling pencils in the form of axe and other controversial shapes.

The sellers who visit government schools take order from children and also convey the rate for the same. After two days, they supply the pencil. Though the pencil that costs Rs 20 is good to look at, it has an axe shape on one end. This might cause injury to children. The parents say that these type of pencils will not only cause physical harm to children but will have negative impact on the mind of children and they should not be allowed.

The parents also expressed rage against the teachers who did not take any action on the sellers of pencils. It is accused that the same suppliers have gone to many schools in the taluk and have sold similar pencils.

City police must trace the manufacturer, fine them, and also keep them in jail suite rooms at least for a fortnight to teach them a lesson.

Most importantly, please check who is the manufacturer of those pencils. You will be surprised just like you are surprised that Ganpathi statues, Diwali crackers and holi colors are made by manufacturers from the world's established factory. Indian pencil makers stopped innovating since ages. But the fact that it had potential to create controversy shows the hatred associated towards those symbols in certain quarters and our neighbor in the north knows it too well.

This is called making controversy out of thin air? This pencil also has a price. You have to buy it to own it. It was not part of the free mid-day meal wherein it was forced on the kids. And teachers can tell the kids to not bring those to school to avoid any potential accidents.

Why poison the innocent minds??? It is very easy to spoil the character but to correct it, is very very difficult once it is spoiled. So act very very carefully, specially with children. Spoiled members means spoiled society. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.
