Mangaluru: SJEC men’s wrestling team bags third place in overall wrestling championship

Mangaluru, Nov 24: St Joseph Engineering College, Men’s Wrestling team participated in VTU state level wrestling and judo championship organized by KLS VDIT, Haliyal on November 21 and 22. SJEC College wrestling team bagged the third place in overall wrestling championship under the leadership of Vaneesha Rodrigues, PED and Sudheer M, assistant PED. SJEC management congratulates the students and the physical education directors for the excellent achievement.

  1. Hrithik Chand, first year MBA, secured first place in below 125kg category wrestling championship.
  2. Nandeesh Vasanth Patgar, fourth year electronics and communication engineering, secured second place in below 65kg category wrestling championship.
  3. Jemin Sebastian third year electronics and communication engineering, secured second place in below 79kg category wrestling championship. 
  4. Mohammed Mazar, fourth year civil engineering, secured third place in below 74kg category wrestling championship.
  5. Abdul Mukshith, fourth year mechanical engineering, secured third place in below 92kg category wrestling championship.
  6. Shanika Graces, first year CSBS, secured third place in below 68 kg category wrestling championship.
  7. Mohammed Mazar, fourth year civil engineering, secured third place in below 73kg category judo championship.
