Ramanagara, Nov 24: JD(S) leader and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has slammed the State Cabinet’s decision to withdraw the permission granted to CBI to investigate the disproportionate assets case against Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar as ‘’travesty of justice’’.

Speaking to media persons in Ramanagara, where he visited the striking advocates on Friday, Kumaraswamy said the Siddaramaiah Cabinet’s decision to withdraw the permission granted to CBI to probe against Shivakumar proves that the ‘’Congress government protects looters.’’

When the issue is pending before the courts, it is totally wrong to withdraw the permission granted to CBI and wondered how the chief minister, who himself was a practising advocate and even taught law can take such a decision which is blatantly wrong, he asked.

The JD(S) leader also attacked the government’s decision of transferring the AC Court in Ramanagara from the district headquarters to the taluk headquarters in Kanakapura and said he fully supports the striking advocates.

He also asked the government to immediately withdraw the transfer. "Instead of transferring the AC Court to Kanakapura, the government should establish AC courts to hear civil disputes in all taluk headquarters," he said and condemned the autocratic functioning of the government.

What non sense are you talking???? The advocate generals have opined that the case is not suitable to be handed over to CBI as it lacks evidence and not following the legal procedures. In fact all cases CBI has filed against the opposition at the behest of the ruling govt in the centre has no evidence, proof and are illegal without following the legal procedures but jumped track and flouting rules only to force the opposition leaders to join BJP under the cover of investigation by torcher, humiliation and threats under their custody.

The statements of the present CM that all procedures were flouted and done on oral instructions of the then CM, amounts to an ultra vires act in this case, which the present Government finds is illegal from its inception and needs to be quashed. An illegal act cannot become legal.

When a permission is blatantly misused, it is absolutely necessary to withdraw that permission. The Karnataka Government has done the right thing by asking CBI to pack up. We all know how CBI, ED and the Election Commission have become BJP's tools. We understand why BJP is making so much noise about it. It is quite natural.
