Daijiworld Media Network – Kolar (MS)

Kolar, Nov 25: Nandini K R, a native of Kolar topped UPSC 2016. However, she had to battle with dengue before taking the exams.

Nandini was outstanding as a student. Her mother is a teacher which also helped her to achieve good marks in her academic. She completed her civil engineering degree from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.

Nandini worked for the PWD in Karnataka after completing her engineering degree. As she was working for the government, she thought of becoming an IAS officer. Nandini made her first attempt to clear the IAS examination in 2013. The try was a disaster as she could not clear even the prelims. She got 642 rank in her second attempt which was good enough just to secure a job in Indian Revenue Service.

A determined Nandini went to Delhi for UPSC preparation for third attempt and undertook coaching for the same. Dengue fever prevented her from taking the examination.

Nandini did not get frustrated but continued her efforts to clear the IAS and made her parents proud by securing first all India rank in her fourth attempt.

Kodos to Daijiworld team! Such stories which motivate the youth are indeed appreciated. Instead of negetive stories about who stole and who eloped, the success stories of people should be published more often.
