Kundapur, Nov 25: “Participation in Bharath Scouts and Guides evolves positivity and righteousness-based values. Leadership and the personality to present ourselves in front of the society grows with it. The contribution of Bharath Scouts and Guides in molding excellent individuals in the society is huge”, said Vinayaka auditorium head Raviraj Upadhya.
He was speaking after inaugurating Bharath Scouts and Guides rally, Cubs, Bulbul Festival 2023 held at Vinayaka auditorium, Anegudde here under the leadership of school education department, block education office Kundapur and Bharath Scouts and Guides Karnataka, district unit.
Bharath Scouts and Guides Udupi district president Gunarathna who presided over the programme said that Scouts and Guides helps to develop leadership. He said that a two-day long rally will be held on district level soon and the activities directed by the organization have been conducted systematically. “P G R Sindhya has been providing suggestions throughout”, he said.
Korgi Vittal Shetty charitable trust president Vittal Shetty said that students should inculcate the mentality of environment protection. “There might be air pollution and draught in the future. Love of the environment should be developed”, he said.
Bharath Scouts and Guides state co organizing secretary Sumana Shekar, district vice president K R Nayak, Kundapur zone primary school teacher’s association president Ganesh Kumar Shetty, senior scout’s teacher Padmanabha Adiga and local unit president Rekha U were present.
Bharath Scouts and Guides Udupi district secretary Anand Adiga gave a key note address. Head of Vinayaka auditorium, Raviraj Upadhya, Korgi Vittal Shetty and Padmanabha Adiga were felicitated. Homage was paid at the beginning of the programme to Mangaluru’s Captain Pranjal who was martyred during the encounter at Rajouri.
Scouts’ teacher Taradevi welcomed. Virendra proposed vote of thanks. Sadananda Shetty compered the programme.
