Sullia: Rate competition between two chicken meat shops – Public makes most of situation

Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Nov 25: Residents of Kallugundi in the taluk had a feast time on Friday due to the rate competition between two shops selling chicken meat.

The rate of broiler chicken meat has gone down in the past few days. This led to rate competition between two shops at Kallugundi. While one shop was selling the chicken at Rs 85 per kilo the other was quoting just Rs 79.

The rate of chicken in shops at Sullia, Bellare and Guthigaru, which are nearby Kallugundi was Rs 100 to 120 per kilo.

Huge queue was observed in front of both shops at Kallugundi and the public had a good time.

The famous invisible hand - at work --- Adam Smith -- It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages. --

This is the time public has to be careful not to buy from cheaper outlets... When there is low value for the product most producers use substandard feed and other means to fatten the chicks quickly... Stick to standard producer outlets... I remember in one burdubai outlet in Dubai they used to sell near expiry chicken at ridiculous prices... It is left to our intelligence to go for the better quality without following at penny wise pound foolish theory....

Dear Prakash ji, we cannot believe anyone. Everywhere cheating and adulterated products are on sale. Dont you believe even the quality chicken producers, feed the chicken with fattening hormonal foods? Just imagine, they would like to sell their chicken skinny bonny ?
