When areca prices shot up all farmers converted paddy fields to water guzzling areca plantations, same with vanilla and rubber;; presently cocoa prices have breached a 28 year high; some farmers may run after cocoa plantations very soon! Since areca is not a food crop, but actually a sin crop it has hardly any value to human kind! Everything in nature is cyclical; areca cycle seems to be peaking out; with drought conditions staring on our face it's anybody's guess as to the future of areca???

I see many are saying common factor and even thinking if not commenting. For those of you who feel this way heres some advice - please dont feed hate becoz hate makes them more determined to do more. Learn to ignore or learn to forgive. God above knows to deal with them.

Nelson Mangalore, your advice is hard to follow or bit out of place.Do you also just see and forgive them when one enters your house and steal areca with a sword swinging on your head ,injuring you ?You have worked hard for it and say I forgive you?Why cant other also work and earn their money just one does?No they should also feel the the same and earn ones bread. Not by force. Why dot they steal from their own community ?

Rita, i agree with everything you are saying but what are you values in this situation as a Christian? Also this community thrives on hate and more you feed them hate the more they feel the need to commit crime. Yes this guy needs to be punished but rest of us dont need to feed the communitys agenda of hate and conversions. More we resist hate the less it works for them

Nelson Manglore ,let us not touch the subject of conversion or hate ,or community.I only plead for punishment what they steal from others injuring the persons or killing to steal what others worked for.One has to work for their bread honestly like others .Not kill or steal.

Government should give power to the farmers by giving them freedom to shoot down cattle thieves, arecanut thieves, these desert cult thieves doesnt have any shame of doing theft, as thier Soceity encourages thier men to steal and attack the people of other communites. These desert cult thieves never steal anything from thier own community member's houses. Looks like theft jihad is on rise

"Bajjai Kalway" is common theft from the start of ........ someone want to become rich at the expenses of poor hardworking farmers Kalway must be avoided . They are nothing but looters. Kalway is illegal and should be punished properly. Best thing is to give them job in Saudi Arabia where they can learn many things which are quite different from India.

These thieves are not less than rowdy sheeters. They attacked the farm owners son with sword. Nowadays attacking and killing has become daily routine. Hope home minister is taking note of this goondaism. Nejar killing incident is the best example to show effectiveness of our police force. They have done wonderful job. Political intervention needs to be avoided so that police perform better.

Times are very very bad; people should arrange for their own bandobast to protect their valuables rather than depending on law enforcers etc.; with the acute and extreme drought situation rearing it's true face, heavily debted farmers and unemployment, lay people should be bracing up for more and more daring robberies and dacoities! The above is my very personal perception based on the ground realities we are facing; kindly do your own research before believing in anybody's views 😜🙏!
