Kundapur: Billavas should unite for growth of community says Ravi Kumar H R

Kundapur, Nov 26: “Billava community has 26 sub castes and is divided. If all these unite then the community can grow to strength in Karnataka. The community should be strong politically. We should forget animosity and stand for the community. No one should forget the community after getting high positions and power. The students of Billava community should aim for IAS and KAS. We should follow the ideals of Guru and take step towards comprehensive development,” said Ravikumar H R, secretary of Shree Kshethra Sigandoor Sri Chowdeshwari Amma temple.

Ravi Kumar was speaking at the 31st scholarship distribution and felicitation programme of special achievers that was held at Sri Narayanaguru Hall of the city on Sunday.

The programme was presided over by Ashok Poojary Beejadi. Taluk health officer Dr K Premananda, vice president Rama Poojary, Shivarama Poojary, Gunaratna Rama Poojary, Yogish Poojary Kodi and Suman Bidkalkatte were the guests.

State level best teacher awardee Narendra Kumar Kota, police Shankara Poojary Kadinatharu, body builder Suresh B Pandeshwara, PhD holder Dr Sowmya Kumar Upladi, Dr Sachin Upladi, district teacher awardee Chenniah Poojary, lawyer Nayana Asodu, social worker Raju Poojary Jadkal and woman orator Shanta Vasudeva Poojary Anagalli were felicitated. Deeksha, Chaya C Poojary, Amoolya Hattiangadi, Amoolya Mavinakombe, Shravya Kandloor, Nireeksha, Dhanya Mavinakombe, Chandra S K Siddapur were given talent award for their achievement in the academic field.

Ganesh Poojary did the introductory speech. Gulabi Jayasurya Poojary offered the prayers. Satish compered the event. Rajesh Kadgimane rendered vote of thanks. MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary and former MLA K Gopala Poojary graced the occasion.
