Bengaluru: Protection against acid attack – Force of 25 professionals trained

Bengaluru, Nov 26: A special training has been imparted to 25 professionals to protect against acid attack in Karnataka. A team of soldiers will come into existence for the first time in the state.

The team will give assistance, protection and also increase the self-confidence of acid victims. First aid, psychological counselling and emotional strengthening services will be provided by these professionals.

Hybrid model training is imparted to these professionals to manage various types of acid attack situations. In the programme that was held at Vasanthanagara in the city, certificates were distributed by Emotional First Aid Academy led by lecturer Sunita K Mani.

Sunita explained the emotional trauma that the acid victims are going through and said the aim of the training was to provide them mental strength to reclaim their life.

This is being seen as a major step towards resolving various necessities of acid attack survivors. It is expected to bring about a positive impact in their life. Psychological and emotional care are very important to them.

    Simple solution is don't sell it. If has to then with limit n with proper I'd proofs of da buyer. Have a dead stock of da sale n purchase. Have very stringent punishment to da offender n da seller of da item. The attacks will disappear completely.

    Prevention of acid attacks is more important. Acid cannot be sold, used or stored,according to law,(with exceptions like in educational institutions for chemistry classes)but the authorities turn a blind eye to this rule and do not take action even after complaints, this attitude has to change.
