Success story: Rejecting Rs 145 crore offer, Suneera Madhani builds company worth over Rs 8200 cr

Atlanta, Nov 27: Suneera Madhani achieved phenomenal success at the age of just 34 and has a company with three lac female CEOs and also built a start-up from very minimum finance.

Suneera is a migrant who found success in the US. She founded Stax with her brother Sal Rehmetullah in 2014. The company’s operation is centered on billing a subscription fee every month at a fixed rate instead of the percentage of sales.

Stax employs over three hundred people and has generated income of USD 23 billion in the past eight years. Born to immigrant parents from Pakistan, her parents tried several businesses but failed in everything.

First data employed Suneera who was working as a sales representative for the company. She did her degree in finance from Florida University. During her studies it struck her mind that the concept of eliminating transactions based on percentages.

Supervisors of 12 banks laughed at the concept thought by Suneera. However, she did not get bogged down but saved her six months’ salary. So did her brother and started the business. They visited the companies around Orlando and presented their idea.

In the beginning 100 customers asked Suneera for the service. Stax gave them offer of Rs 145 crore to buy the company. However, the duo took five lac USD loan to expand their business and turned down the offer of Stax.

By 2022, Suneera and her brother have raised USD 263 million from just one billion USD. They also started an organization called CEOschool.
