New Delhi, Sep, 3: One after another Team Anna member is being pulled up by the government. After a privilege notice on Kiran Bedi and IT notice to Arvind Kejriwal, it is now the turn of lawyer Prashant Bhushan to be slapped with a breach of privilege notice.
On Saturday September 3, a day after Kejriwal was served with an IT notice telling him to pay dues of Rs 9 lac, Bhushan said that he was slammed a notice for making allegations against MPs that they take bribes to pass laws.
Bhushan also said that he had been told to reply by September 14.
Not to be bogged down, Bhushan said that the notice was unjustified and said that he had only spoken the truth in public which does not amoung to breach of privilege.
"If speaking truth in public interest amounts to breach of privilege, then time has come for the country to review the whole notion of Parliamentary privileges," he said.
Earlier Bedi who had receieved a similar notice for her remarks against parliamentarians said that she did not regret her statements and that she would not apologise.
"The truth has to be said. I didn't have any other option as we didn't know whether we would have a resolution," she had said.
