Mangaluru, Nov 30: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials carried out investigation for one year into the cooker bomb blast that occurred on November 19, 2022 at Nagori in the city and filed chargesheet in the court in the NIA special court.
The chargesheet mentions that many Hindu temples were the target. It is mentioned that the act was instigated by the ISIS. The chargesheet is filed on Mohammed Shariq and Syed Shariq.
It is said that both accused terrorists wanted to propagate Shariat law through cooker bomb explosion. It is said that Shariq planned to kill Hindus by holding blast at Kadri temple. However, due to low pressure the cooker burst in the auto-rickshaw itself.
Syed Yaseen supplied materials to prepare cooker bomb. It is said that Shariq wanted to join ISIS after carrying out the attack.
Shariq was also involved in wall graffiti case of Mangaluru and trial bomb blast case of Shivamogga. He also had plans to conduct several anti-India acts. These points are mentioned in the chargesheet that is filed by the NIA.
