Kuwait, Sep 3: Abbasiya Families here will celebrate Monthi Fest with all Konkani speaking people at Integrated Indian School premises on Friday September 9.
The celebration will start at 6.30 pm with mass in Konkani followed by traditional Mangalorean dinner on banana leaf and variety of entertainment by the parishioner and their children. Mangalore’s harvest Paddy grain will be blessed and distributed to all gathered.
Even though Abbassiya Families is not an association, it has celebrated Monthi Fest since last many years and witnessed by more than 1,000 people every year. It is an effort from some individuals with the support of Konkani speaking people of Kuwait.
