Kundapur: Water purifier worth Rs 1.75 lac donated to Little Star English medium school

Kundapur, Dec 1: “Drinking water and rivers are completely polluted in the country because of plastic and chemicals. Therefore, anything that is used in the manufacture of plastic including water bottles should be banned. There should be purification of clean drinking water in the country,” said entrepreneur Dr G Ramakrishna Achar. He was speaking after donating a water purifier worth Rs 1.75 lac to Yadadi – Matyadi Little Star English medium school here.

“We have conducted a detailed study about drinking water. The drinking water issue can be solved and water bottles can be banned if nearly one million drinking water units manufactured by us are installed across the country,” he said.

Dr G Ramakrishna Achar was felicitated by the school. Suzzan education trust treasurer Bharath Shetty, Ramakrishna college Mangaluru principal M Balakrishna Shetty, teacher Balakrishna Shetty, Hombadi Mandadi gram panchayat vice president Arun Hegde, Congress leader Dinesh Hegde, physical education teacher Umesh Shetty and Little Star English medium school principal Pradeep were present.

Sujnan Education Trust president Ramesh Shetty welcomed. Teacher Prema compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
