Mangaluru: Tulu movie ‘Raapata’ enchants audience at Big Cinemas

Mangaluru, Dec 1: The city had a magnificent cinema experience on Friday December 1 when the much-anticipated Tulu film ‘Raapata’ directed by Arjun Kapikad released at Big Cinemas. The opening ceremony, which was attended by key film industry figures, signalled the start of a cinematic adventure that promised to captivate audiences with its captivating story.

Director Dr Devdas Kapikad, one of the makers of ‘Raapata’ expressed delight, saying, "It is critical to support Tulu cinema, and 'Raapata' has been created to provide a high-quality cinematic experience to the Tulu audience. The positive feedback from everyone who viewed the film in theatres justifies our efforts."

Film director Harish Sherigar, a key figure in the film's development, highlighted the need of supporting high-quality cinema. "There is no doubt that Tulu viewers enjoy watching good films. I watched 'Raapata' in Dubai and felt it is fantastic," he remarked, encouraging everyone to watch it in theatres.

'Raapata' has a strong star cast which includes Arjun Kapikad, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sai Krishna Kudla, Vikeesha Rao along with Anoop Sagar and Nireeksha Shetty playing major roles and displaying their acting ability. Arjun Kapikad's effort offers an enjoyable combination of fun and pleasure, making it an absolute must-see for Tulu cinema supporters.

Several celebrities, including Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sai Krishna Kudla, and others who contributed to the film's popularity, attended the release event. ‘Raapata’ had received a standing ovation from viewers on its worldwide screenings in the UAE, Bahrain, and Muscat.
