Success story: Kamyaa Misra cracks UPSC in first attempt at 22

Odisha, Dec 2: Brilliant in studies from her childhood days, Kaamya Mishra of Odisha cleared the tough UPSC examination in her first attempt at the age of just 22.

In her 12th grade Kaamya topped her region with 98.6 points. She did her graduation from Lady Shri Ram college of Delhi. During the graduation studies she also prepared herself for the UPSC as she always dreamt of becoming an IPS officer. She did not take any coaching and did self-study with online help and also revised thoroughly.

All the hardwork of Kaamya paid off in her first attempt at the UPSC as she secured an AIR of 172. She opted for IPS in 2019. She was moved to Bihar cadre though initially placed in Himachal cadre.

Kaamya’s husband Awadesh Saroj is also and IPS officer from the Bihar cadre.
