Bantwal, Dec 3: ICYM unit of St Thomas the Apostle Church Nirkan organized ‘Christmas – Kheladwari Ekwat 2023’ an Inter-ward and individual games for the parishioners, on November 19 and onDecember 3 at St Thomas Higher Primary School ground, Nirkan, Vogga.

ICYM vice president, Henvil Valder welcomed the gathering. Fr Leo William Lobo, parish priest of Nirkan Church and director of ICYM Nirkan unit presided over the programme along with Vincent Bennis, vice president and Shanthi Veigas, secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, brother Jeevan Lobo, Sweedal Rodrigues, president of ICYM Nirkan were the dignitaries. During the inaugural programme, Fr Leo William Lobo addressed the gathering. Henvil Valder compered the programme.

The event began with individual and group games such as shot put and Head – Shoulder – Knees – Cup for men, and hitting the pot and eating biscuit game for women, followed by tug of war and dodge ball. At the end, balloon race for couples was also conducted.

In the evening, slow bike race was conducted for 18 years above men and women.

On December 3, dice game, paper ball pick and fill race, cup and straw race, paper ball on head race were conducted for children of Nirkan parish.

It was an amazing time all the parishioners have got together to spend time with each other.
