Mangaluru: Yenepoya Nursing College observes World AIDS Day 2023

Mangaluru, Dec 4: Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Gender Sensitization Cell, department of Community Health Nursing and Youth Red Cross, Yenepoya Nursing College organized World AIDS Day awareness camp from Nov ember 20-22 at Spandana Trust Mangaluru on ‘Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infection’ and 750 people benefited of it.

A placard competition was held on November 27 and 6 groups students participated. An intercollegiate quiz competion was held on November 28 and 18 groups of students all over Mangaluru participated. Mime competition was held on November 29 and 8 teams participated.

A poster competion was held on November 30 and 24 groups of students participated. On December 1 in collaboration with District AIDS Control & Prevention Unit, the college conducted AIDS Day Walkathon from St Aloysius College to SDM College Mangaluru and 45 students of Red Ribbon Club and 4 faculty participated in the rally, An AIDS Day programme was held in Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences. Daisy D’Souza, programme officer, Red Ribbon Club, Yenepoya Nursing College received felicitation.
