Udupi: Adani Foundation inaugurates community infrastructure devt works

Udupi, Dec 4: ATPP, which is operating thermal power plant in Yellur village, Kaup taluk, Udupi district, in hands with its CSR wing Adani Foundation, on Monday December 4, inaugurated 3 newly constructed concrete roads under its CSR in the limits of Mudarangadi grama panchayat, Kaup taluk, Udupi district.

Three Kaccha roads measuring 90 metres length in the villages of Pilar, Kunjigudde and Santuru were concreted at a total project cost of Rs 15 lac under the community infrastructure development activity of CSR programmes of Adani Foundation. These CSR facilities were jointly unveiled by Kishore Alva, president and executive director of Adani Group and Namita, president of Mudarangadi gram panchayat.

Kishore Alva informed that every year APL – Udupi TPP is spending around Rs 3 crores towards various development works for the benefit of the society as a part its CSR programme in the field of education, health, promotion of rural sports and community infrastructure in the surrounding villages of Udupi TPP. Out of total budget more than one crore is utilized for the community infrastructure development works that have been taken as per the action plan provided by respective gram panchayat. He also told that for the past 7 years, Adani Foundation has developed various infrastructure facilities worth Rs. 3.91 crore in Mudarangadi GP in addition to education and health facilities.

Welcoming the CSR facilities that are made available for the benefit of society at large, Mudarangadi GP president thanked Adani Foundation.

Yogini Shetty, former president of Mudarangadi gram panchayat, Shivaram Bhandari, member, Shivaram, village accountant and Adani Power Limited’s AGM Ravi R Jere, Adani Foundation’s Anudeep were present on the occasion.
