Udupi, Dec 6: The crystal jubilee celebration of Trinity Central School Perampalli was held with great grandeur and glory on December 2. Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza, vicar provincial, Holy Trinity province was the president of the function.
Dr Vincent Alva, principal Milagres College, Kallianpur was the chief guest, Srinivas the PTA president, Deeksha, the alumni president was the guests of honour.
The guests were escorted to the dais ceremoniously by the school band.
On the occasion of the crystal jubilee, the annual school magazine TRITV 2023- 24 was released by the president.
Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza, in his presidential address appreciated the steady progress of the school over the years and made known the future vision of Capuchin fathers for Trinity Central School.
The chief guest of the evening, Dr Vincent Alva, in his address to the gathering appreciated the school for its rapid growth with better infrastructural facilities and advanced educational policies. He added that brilliance of the school is reflected through the calibre and quality of the staff, as a result parents could breathe easy as their children are in safe hands. He also admonished the parents to differentiate the needs from the wants of their children.
Saanvi Acharya ASPL of the school welcomed the gathering and Anson Fernandes SPL of the school, proposed the vote of thanks.
Various academic and achievement awards were presented during the occasion.
The evening cool breeze enthused the kids to put up colourful cultural displays with great vigour and style. Indeed, the cultural programme was an event extraordinaire. From tiny little feet thumping to the foot-tapping music, to beautiful mudras, bhangra beats, hip-hop moves, the evening dazzled with mesmerising performances.
The heart-rendering depiction of environment degradation was beautifully summarised through the eyes of a sparrow in the Kannada drama. The students enacted important events from the life of the patron saint- St Francis of Assisi bringing to life the values and virtues that are the edifice of the school.
The depiction of Abhimanyu’s ordeal in the Chakvyuh through a Yakshagana performance was performed. The culmination of athleticism with patriotic beats in the Taleem performance was the highlight of the annual day. The final fusion performance traversing the school’s successful 15 year tenure brought down the curtains to another enthralling annual day.
Many neighbouring priests and more than thousand audience witnessed the great show of the little kids.
Fr Dominic Sunil Lobo, the principal of the school thanked everyone with gratitude for the support and love in nurturing the school and for making the day a great success and worth remembering.
