Mangaluru: Human Rights, Constitution Day celebrated at St Ann's PU College

Mangaluru, Dec 9: St Ann's PU College celebrated the Constitution Day and Human Rights Day recently.

The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp and a floral tribute to Dr B R Ambedkar by the principal and the college student leaders. Invocation by the students was followed by a welcome address by Nashwa.

Significance of the day was given by Ifa Fathima. The cultural programme consisted of a dance drama on female foeticide and infanticide, stop child labour and a short skit on fundamental rights. A theme dance on dowry and domestic violence concluded the programme.

The principal in her address restated the fundamental and human rights and urged the students to practice them in their daily lives.

The programme was compered by Yaseera Banu and vote of thanks was proposed by Sanjana.
