Mangaluru: Carmel School CBSE holds service learning initiative in honour of World AIDS Day

Mangaluru, Dec 11: Carmel School CBSE recently orchestrated a service learning initiative in honour of World AIDS Day, with the students of Grade 9ABC spearheading the efforts at Samvedanaa, Home for Children, on December 9.

The day commenced with a heartfelt prayer service, setting the tone for an engaging event. A variety of games were organized, bringing joy to the 39 children in attendance. Additionally, essential items such as food and stationery were distributed to support their well-being.

In a generous gesture, a donation amount of Rs. 10,000 was handed over to Jayalatha S Amin, the project manager of the NGO, further contributing to their cause.

Throughout the event, the students exuded enthusiasm and warmth, creating a positive and impactful experience for all involved.

The students crafted a presentation on a fictitious topic and delivered it to their peers in Class 8.

Anusha D'Souza aptly compered the programme, embodying the spirit of service.
