Bahrain: Bunts Bahrain celebrates 20th anniversary

Bahrain, Dec 14: “An organization is like a chariot. It cannot be pulled by one or two people. The chariot moves smoothly only when everybody in the community unites and pulls it together,” said Kaup Vidhan Sabha MLA and social worker Gurme Suresh Shetty. He was speaking addressing the gathering after receiving felicitations as chief guest of twentieth anniversary celebrations of Bunts Bahrain.

Bunts Bahrain which has progressed for the last twenty years adding its community members to its stream in the island responding to their pain and sufferings celebrated its twentieth anniversary at a grand scale at the five-star hotel Crown Plaza under the leadership of its president Saukur Arun Shetty. Special achiever of Bunts community, social worker and popular MLA of Kaup Vidhan Sabha constituency Gurme Suresh Shetty and popular Kannada film industry, Salaga fame actor Yash Shetty graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour.

Bunts community artistes presented songs, dances, jokes and skits as part of anniversary celebrations and entertained the audience.

The programme started after prayers by Prathima Arun Shetty. The guests, management board office bearers and dignitaries lighted the lamp one by one and inaugurated the programme. Nagpur musicians and women welcomed the guests with Poorna Kumbha and escorted them from the main entrance to the front of the auditorium.

President Arun Shetty expressed his gratitude to all those who helped for the progress of the organization during the last twenty years. Those who worked for the success of the programme and sponsors were felicitated with mementos. The management board office bearers honoured Gurme Suresh Shetty and actor Yash in the presence of dignitaries.

Chief secretary Rohan Shetty compered the hall programme. Cultural secretary Yakshit Shetty and Sruthi Shetty compered the entire programme.
