Jubail: Prelude meeting of 17th World Kannada Sahitya Sanskriti Sammelana held

Jubail, Dec 14: Prelude meeting to hold 17th World Kannada Sahitya Sanskriti Sammelana at Saudi Arabia for the first time was held at Classic Restaurant of Jubail.

It was decided to hold the convention on January 18 and 19 of 2024. Committees of office bearers and others were formed.

It was decided to spread the fragrance of Kannada language on foreign soil through the 17th world Kannada Sahitya convention that is organized by NRI Kannadigas and Hridayavahini.

Welcome committee consists of Janab Zacharia Bajpe and Janab Sheikh Karnire as honorary presidents. Sathish Kumar Bajal is the president. Ibrahim Hussain Padubidri and Santhosh Shetty are the vice president. Rafiq Soorinje is the chief secretary. Praveen Peter Aranha and Firoz Kalladka are the secretaries. Mohammed Krishnapura, Mohammed Malebettu and Gopal Shetty are the joint secretaries. Mohammed Ali Uppinangady is the treasurer. Nithin Rao Padubidri and Dawood Riyadh are the joint tresurers.

Mohammed Noman is the chief coordinator. Mohammed Fayaz, Mohammed Ayaz, Ismail Katipalla, Yashas Chandrashekhara, Ashraf Naushad Pollya and Prasanna Bhat are the coordinators.

Rajkumar Bahrain, Shahul Hamid, Stany Mathias, Narendra Shetty, Abdul Hamid and Syed Bawa Bajpe were nominated as the advisors.

Janab Zacharia and Sathish Kumar Bajal requested all the committee members to make this convention a memorable one by giving their fullest cooperation and also gave the complete details of the programme in the meeting.

Welcome speech was given by Iqbal Mallur and chief secretary Rafiq Soorinje rendered vote of thanks.
