Mangaluru, Dec 15: St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel takes great joy and happiness in spreading the message of peace and warmth on the occasion of Christmas amongst the people of all religion in the form of organising a ‘Bandutva’ a fraternal Christmas celebration.
This programme will be held on December 17 at Benaka Sabha Bhavan, Padavinangady grounds, opposite Roben Plaza from 4.45 pm to 8.30 pm.
The evening will begin with a cultural programme which will be presented by the children of seven schools in the neighborhood. The same will be followed by a stage programme, carol singing and tableau. There are 10/12 lucky draws for Christmas cake and also the draw for a bumper prize of 3 gold coins.
Over 2000 people are anticipated from all religions and across all ages to be a part of the unique community building initiative of Bondel church as it moves closer to its centenary celebration.
There will be guests representing different religions and giving out their message to the people on the occasion of the Christmas season.

The programme will be presided over by Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of St Lawrence Church & Shrine. Fr Peter Gonsalves, assistant parish priest & principal of St Lawrence English Medium School, Fr Lancy D’Souza, assistant parish priest, John D’Silva, vice president, parish pastoral council, Santhosh Misquith, secretary, parish pastoral council, Dr Preethi Keerthi D’Souza, coordinator, cultural committee and Colin Miranda, secretary, cultural committee will be present during the programme.
