M'luru: 'La Gloria' event held to celebrate & highlight achievements of St Agnes PU College students

Mangaluru, Dec 15: La Gloria at St Agnes PU College was an extraordinary event held on December 14 to celebrate and highlight the achievements of the students. Sr Maria Shruthi, principal of St Agnes Special School, was the chief guest.

The event was smoothly compered by Suvasini, lecturer in Biology, while  Shubhavani, lecturer in Computer Science extended a warm welcome to everyone, setting the tone for an evening of celebration and recognition. The distribution of merit certificates, acknowledgments for maximum credit holders across all streams, and accolades for competition winners added a touch of pride and accomplishment. 

Sr Maria Shruthi addressed the students and commended them on the strides they have taken and her inspiring words resonated with the spirit of achievement. She lauded them for their hard work and persistence. She reminded them that achievers are not only those who won prizes and certificates, but all the students in the audience who are gifted in some way or the other. She exhorted them to use their intellect for the welfare of society. She encouraged them to be good human beings, spend time with their parents, help the needy and reach out to the lesser privileged.

Shailaja proposed a vote of thanks expressing gratitude for the collective efforts that made achievers day a success.

Supriya, lecturer in Physics and Shubhvani, lecturer in Computer Science were the convenors of the event. The principal Sr Norine D’Souza, the vice principal Sr Janet Sequiera, Sr Maria Gloria, headmistress, St Agnes High School, the faculty and students witnessed the programme.
