Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club felicitates visiting dignitaries

Bahrain, Dec 16: In a ceremony held at its premises in Bahrain, the Karnataka Social Club felicitated prominent visiting dignitaries Umanath Kotian, MLA of Moodibidri, Ronald Pinto, a prominent UAE businessman, MLC B M Farooq, Abdul Majeed Bathurudeen, CEO and managing director of UIC-Saudi Arabia, and ‘Private Challenge’ fame duo Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld and actor ‘Tulunada Manikya’ Aravind Bolar. Fr Darryl Fernandes from the Sacred Heart Church enhanced the dignity and grace of the occasion with his esteemed presence and Blessings.

In his welcome address, the entertainment secretary Rajesh Prabhu, briefly explained the history of the club, and highlighted and attributed the USP of the club to the secular nature for its success over five decades.

 

President Sunil D'Souza led the visiting dignitaries onto the dais and in his address thanked the members for their co-operation and dedication in the past, and highlighted the various activities that the club was involved in.

Anand Lobo, a prominent personality among the Indian diaspora in Bahrain, in his inimitable eloquent style, laid out the future scope of the club, while thanking the dignitaries for taking their valuable time off from their busy schedule to visit the club. He then took the dignitaries, most of them first-time visitors to the club for a tour of the 2 storey premises. Mementos and bouquets were handed over to the prominent celebrities.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks.
