Udupi, Dec 18: The reception committee for the Chaturtha Pariyatsava of Puttige Shri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji conducted a consultative meeting with the Rama Kshatriya Samaj and Gaud Saraswat Brahmin Samaj on December 17.
During the meeting, Shri Nagaraja Acharya, Dewan of Sri Math and spokesperson, extended an invitation for cooperation from the Rama Kshatriya Samaj. He officially welcomed Ravi Rao, Dr Shivanand Naik, and Jayakara K to the Samaj by handing over letters. Similarly, he requested the full cooperation of the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin Samaj and extended official membership to them by letter.
Representatives from Rama Kshatriya Samaj, Udupi, including Kishore Kumar Gurme, expressed their commitment to providing full cooperation in all departments. P V Shenoy, administrative president of Sri Lakshmi Venkataraman Temple, Udupi, received the letter and affirmed the society's participation in various events, such as the city entrance procession, bhajan team, burden donation, volunteering, and committees.
Approximately 100 dignitaries and office bearers, including women, from Rama Kshatriya Samaj attended the meeting. Ramesh Bhatt K, the convener of the committee, welcomed the attendees and proposed the vote of thanks.
In a separate meeting with the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin Samaj, Ramesh Bhatt K welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.
The meetings were attended by H S Ballal, President of the Reception Committee, Raghupati Bhat, executive president, Yashpal Suvarna (MLA and Grand Patron), Suresh Shetty (MLA and Convener), Matta R Ratnakar Shetty, Jayakara Shetty Indrali, Diwakar Shetty, and Santhosh Shetty Tenkaraguttu in the Rama Kshatriya Samaj meeting.
The Gaud Saraswat Brahmin Samaj meeting saw the presence of Kuiladi Suresh Naik (President, BJP Udupi District), Raghavendra Kini, Jagadish Pai, Vishwanath Pai, Gokuldas Pai, Prashant Baliga, K P R Kini, Ganesh Kini, Malpe Vishwanath Bhat, and Deepak Shenoy Alevoor.
