Mangaluru: 38th Expert Day celebration to be held on Dec 27

Mangaluru, Dec 26: The 38th Expert Day celebration at Kodialbail campus will be held at Kootakkala Auditorium, Shri Bhagavathi Temple, Kodialbail at 5.30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 27.

The flag hoisting will be done at 8.25 am. by Abhiram Rao, engineering professional and alumnus of Expert PU College, Kodialbail. The prize distribution will be done at 3.00 pm by Suresh Pai, trustee, Expert PU College, Mangaluru.

The formal Expert Day programme will commence at 5.00 pm in the Kootakkala Auditorium, Shri Bhagavathi Temple, Kodialbail. The chief guest of the programme is Prof (Dr) Moodithaya, vice chancellor, Nitte University, Mangaluru. Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru will preside over the function. Keynote address will be delivered by Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru. Then the rank holders of the academic year 2022-23 in the board and various competitive examinations will be honoured. After the stage programme, cultural events will commence by the college students.

The 38th Expert Day Celebration at Valachil campus will be held at Time Square of Expert PU College, Valachil, at 5.30 pm, on Friday December 29. 

The flag hoisting will be done at 7.30 a.m., by Manjunath H S, deputy commissioner, Income Tax Department, Mangaluru. Then cultural competitions will be conducted for the students. The prize distribution will be done at 12.00 pm to the students who have taken part in the various competitions in connection with Expert Day. The guest of honour for this session will be CA N Jagannath Kamath, The Auditor, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru.

The formal Expert Day stage programme will commence at 5.00 pm., in the Time Square of Expert PU College, Valachil. The chief guest of the Programme is Prakash Belavadi, actor, writer and director, Bengaluru. The guest of honour is Dr Anand K, IAS, CEO, Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat, Mangaluru. Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions will preside over the programme. ‘Music Festival’ at Valachil will be held at Time Square of Expert PU College, Valachil, at 5.30 pm, on Saturday, December 30.

‘LAYA LAVANYA’ music festival, a mind-blowing, mix of southern-northern-folklore-western-Latin percussions will be held by Vid. Anoor Aanthakrishna Sharma and ensemble. This programme will be inaugurated by Sri Manikanth Kadri, noted film composer and singer.

The artistes lined up for the 'Time Square Music Fest on December 30 are:
