Udupi: Annual Day celebration held at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management

Udupi, Dec 30: The 14th annual day celebration of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal was held on December 29 at the institute premises.
 
Paramapoojya Shri Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji, Adamaru Math, Udupi was present in the ceremony and in his blessings, he said that it is extremely important for the current young generation to sustain and retain indigenous culture despite receiving higher education and pursuing careers abroad.
 









Paramapoojya Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, president of Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, presided over the function and in his presidential remark he said that remaining up to date and updated with current technology is key to success.
 
Chandrashekar Bharathi, managing director, Ace Micromatic Manufacturing Intelligence Technologies (AmiT), Bengaluru was the chief guest and in his address, he said that India is going to be a top in Economy by 2047, and that students now will be the ones who will make it happen.
 
Rathnakumar, secretary, SSVMET, Dr S G Gopalakrishna, Shama Sundar, Nandakumar Upadhyaya, governing council members of the institute, Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal, SMVITM, Dr Ganesh Aithal, vice principal, SMVITM and Anshuman, president of student council were present on the dais.
 
Rathnakumar, secretary, SSVMET welcomed the gathering. Professor Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal, presented the annual report of the academic year 2023-24 highlighting the accomplishments of the institute and achievements of the staff and the students. Raghavendra G S, assistant professor, CSE department and Dr Ravindra H J, head of the department of Physics introduced the guests.
 
Dr Sudarshan Rao, dean (IQAC), Dr Raviprabha K and prof Nagaraj Rao announced the names of the students qualified for the Proficiency Awards and Scholarships, Best Outgoing Students Award, Best 2nd and 3rd year Students Award and Best Department Award. Gajendr S Kunder, department of computer science & engineering and Ankitha Annappa Shet, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering were awarded with best outgoing student awards.

Chitkala, 2nd year CSE student rendered an invocation. Aditya Kudva, assistant professor (senior grade), department of mechanical engineering proposed the vote of thanks. Ananth Mohan Mallya, senior assistant professor, mechanical engineering department and Akshatha Rao L, assistant professor, electronics and communication engineering department compered the programme.
