Mangaluru, Dec 30: Union Bank of India, regional office Mangaluru, organized ‘NRI Meet 2023’ for its NRI customers on December 22 at TMA Pai International Convention Centre here.

The event was inaugurated by Renu Nair, zonal head, Mangaluru. She emphasized on the contribution of NRIs to the Indian economy as well as growth of the bank. Wide range of NRI products supported by good technology were explained during the programme by Anna Durai, deputy general manager, forex department.

Gaurav R Hegde, chartered accountant and partner of A R Hegde & Co and Tax Expert was the chief guest of the event. He delivered the expert talk and explained the various tax provision applicable to NRIs and also other avenues available for investments.

Super senior citizens were felicitated during the programme. Mahesha J, regional head, Mangaluru, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the contribution of NRIs business in Mangaluru region. Union Bank of India, Mangaluru region has been conducting NRI meet every year in a grand way.

During the event many NRI customers appreciated Union Bank of India for organizing this event and recognizing their contribution to the nation as well as the bank. “We, NRIs visit our place once in a year to meet our family members and celebrate our festivals, during this period bank is organizing such wonderful event is appreciable. We wish Union Bank of India gains more glory and fame in days to come and we shall continue to provide our support for the development of the bank,” opined the NRIs.

Vishu Kumar U, deputy regional head, Mangaluru proposed the vote of thanks. Nikith N Shriyan and Yashaswitha Ajith Suvarna compered the event. The event was followed by entertainment programme by Nandagokula artistes of Arrehole Foundation depicting the culture of the state with dance performance like Mysuru Raajyada Dore, Ganesha Vaibhavam and many more.
